Children’s Future Food Inquiry and a big thank you to the cubs!

This is a request that you take part, if possible, in a vitally important Inquiry that is taking place right now.

There is very little information about how many people in the UK are experiencing food insecurity. Even less is known about what is happening with children.

The Children’s Future Food Inquiry is looking to hear from anyone – children, young people or adults –who have experienced or witnessed children’s food insecurity in any form. If you know children who struggle to access enough food or nutritious diets, please share your story with the Inquiry portal.  You have until the 28th November.

it is very easy to use and doesn’t have to take very long at all. They are not just looking for research statistics, but people’s day-to-day stories of how children are affected by food poverty. You can even submit photos or short films.

The Inquiry is being led by two All-Party Parliamentary Groups on School Food and Hunger and Food Poverty, and so the findings will be seen by politicians and policy-makers.

Please go to the website for more information.

Well done the Cubs!

On Saturday 22 September 10 members of the Hebden Bridge cubs provided a  bag-packing service at the tills in the Todmorden branch of Morrisons, and their collection raised a total of £162.14 in aid of the Food Drop In. What a fantastic effort! Our thanks go to the cubs and to all the customers who contributed to the collection.
