NEW WINTER OPENING TIMES!!! PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM SATURDAY 23rd JANUARY 2022 WE WILL BE OPENING FROM 10AM – 12.00PM
We have received an overwhelming amount of support with our winter appeal, and as always are extremely grateful for all of the generous donations of warm clothing and bedding. We now have reached capacity on these items so kindly ask for no more to be donated for this winter period. Financial donations are always welcome via our justgiving account and greatly appreciated
A massive thank you to Calder Community Cares for a very generous donation of £1500 plus assorted essential items, we really appreciate your support
We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the children and families at Hebden Royd CE Primary School for the very generous donations they have made to us this year. Also a massive thank you to Lynne at Physio & Therapies and all at the Three Valley Gospel Choir for their continued support and generosity, it is greatly appreciated
We would like to say a big thank you to the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust for giving us a grant of £7500 for our winter supplies project. This has made it possible to run this project again this winter. Without this grant it would be extremely difficult to meet the high level of demand for winter supplies at this time due to the cost of living crisis and the challenges faced by increasing heating costs.
Can you help us raise £5000 to supply much needed warm winter clothes and bedding for the people who come to the Food Drop In for help. We have now launched our Winter Appeal crowdfunder run through our Local Giving page.
As you know our primary focus is food but increasingly people are asking for help with other essentials. With the cost of living and energy crisis many are struggling to heat their homes. Many of the people who come for help are families with children who are really going to struggle in the cold months. Warm clothing and bedding is even more important this winter.
3 years ago we started a winter supplies project and provided things like hats, socks. gloves, scarves, hot water bottles, jackets and coats, thermals and waterproofs. We also started to provide winter weight bedding. Much of this was donated but as Covid took a hold we couldn’t take donations and had to buy instead.
The crowdfunder can be accessed by either going direct to our Local Giving page and selecting winter appeal or highlighting the link below, right clicking and selecting “go to https local giving….” Thank you for your support.
Thanks, and best wishes to all.
